Google has put a file-working agent on the Mac.
Gemini Spark can work with local files, organise folders, create documents and carry multi-step workflows across Google Workspace.
Watch unless you already have Ultra and a strong Workspace workflow. We need a matched task test before recommending a platform switch.
Why this may matter
For people living in Drive, Gmail, Calendar and Docs, an agent inside that ecosystem could remove handoffs. Today, plan cost and limited availability make fit more important than novelty.

Google released Spark in the Gemini macOS app for eligible AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and over, in English and supported countries. Google says remote control from web or mobile will follow; as at 2026-07-25 that is still listed as coming soon and availability has not widened.
Real example
A Workspace-heavy operator could give Spark a folder of approved notes and ask it to prepare a weekly document without moving files into another AI product.
